The Loudspeaker Kit S250 DIY subwoofer kit is the most popular subwoofer in our lineup. Based around the highly regarded Dayton Audio DVC 12" driver this subwoofer is designed for high quality music applications and for tight home theatre systems.

The S250 is a sealed box design which means that is bass output is very tight and clean and is usually described as "fast" in the audio world. Home cinema is not overlooked as the sheer raw power of the unit means that in moderate sized rooms there is still huge bass output at the all important 25Hz point.

The S350 DIY Subwoofer kit is our newest subwoofer and the flagship of the subwoofer range. This sub suits those looking for the ultimate in bass performance in any sized room at maximum SPL home theatre levels.

It is another sealed box active design which is capable of significantly exceeding the THX specification for bass performance in all but the largest of rooms. The home cinema THX specification calls for a flat power response from the subwoofer down to 20Hz with a relative sound pressure level of at least 105dB SPL. In a typical 4m x 6m room used for home theatre the S350 is capable of producing in excess of 122 dB SPL at maximum output. Actual performance will vary according to your room characteristics of course.
