The Loudspeaker Kit C5 Centre Channel DIY kit is designed to be a perfect match to our MKII M5 and F5 DIY loudspeaker kits for use in DD/DTS applications. It utilises the same Vifa tweeter as used in the M5 and F5 and a pair of the 5" Peerless Engineering woofers as usd in the M5 and F5 also. It is also ideally suited to those seeking a high performance centre channel for matching other existing speakers.  

It's fully magnetically shielded and light enough to be mounted on the wall or on top of the TV. 

The C5 handles high volume home theatre levels easily and is our best "all round" performer when a mix of cost and performance is required. Bass output is good and when used with digital home theatre receivers the speaker can be set to "small" or "large" in the setup menu depending upon the volume level and bass performance required.

 

TIP - the C5 is the best choice for an "aftermarket" centre channel if you are trying to match an existing pair of speakers you already own.

Damage to speakers is usually caused by an underpowered amp which is clipping due to being driven too hard.
